The established Russian pianist Nikolai Lvovich Luganski (* 1972) will present three forms of the musical modern style from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, when the idiom of the musical romanticism begun to crumble, yet, its main strengths still dominated. Debussy, among the technically well-prepared Russian pianists, is popular for his extraordinary demands on cleanliness and clarity of the hit. Scriabin’s extraordinary philosophical enthusiasm for extreme experiences and harmonious experiments was implemented mainly in the compositions for piano. The varied and tumultuous Rachmaninov’s Preludes can boldly compete with the fullness of the orchestral sound.
