Concerts for schools

For schools
For schoolchildren we are preparing musical stories that bring young generation closer to the field of classical music in an interactive and engaging way. It could be basically said that we help the young and the youngest audience to take their first steps into the world of “classical” music, in a somewhat not a classical way.

We believe that this is the way how to arouse intial interest with the unexperienced listeners. After all, music is one the substantial dimensions of life. It can evoke deep emotions in us, gives unforgettable and unrepeatable experience, and spends the hard as well as the happy moments with us. We would like to break down prejudices which is the world of classical music still loaded with and to show the way to all of herbeauty.

SYMPHONIC CONCERTS FOR SCHOOL (elementary school, secondary school, high school)
The very experience of live music performed by a multi-member orchestra is breathtaking and astonishing. On top of that it is accompanied by a commentary that clarifies a lot and helps to understand and especially can arouse the interest of the young audience. The moderated concerts are certainly not mere educational programmes but they try to slightly open the door for the visitors to the great adventure called music.

WORKSHOPS FOR SCHOOLS (elementary school, secondary school and also high school)
Sometimes just listening is not enough. Because it is also about how to listen, what to focus on and what to hear. It is important to stimulate not only the child’s imagination, but also concentration. We have chosen the form of workshops to help them on their journey to music. An experienced lecturer works with children in an interactive way and pursue not only to deepening their knowledge but also their skills. The whole body is involved, including the voice. We also have a wide range of Orff instruments available. However, during the lessons we also work with everyday objects that at first sight are not suitable for working with music. The aim of the workshops is to develop creative thinking and perception of the world around us, playfulness and an understanding of classical music as a natural part of life. The workshops can become a practical complement to music education at school. The workshop programme is designed adequately to the age of the enrolled pupils and students.

The date can be arranged individually.
Location:
club Atlantik, capacity max. 25 people
Price: 50 CZK/person (pedagogical accompaniment is free of charge)

CHAMBER CONCERTS FOR SCHOOLS (kindergarten, elementary school)

In tune, out of tune?!
Meeting a string quartet literally face to face. A musical-dramatic interactive programme that seeks and finds answers to the questions: Who plays in such a string quartet? What instruments do they play and how do they tune them? And what happens when the musicians are out of tune not only with their instruments, but also with their mood?

Performed by Benda Quartet:
Jakub Černohorský
Ondřej Pustějovský
Petr Benda
Tomáš Svozil

Blowing, not blowing?!
A musical encounter with brass instruments. Breathe in, breathe out. Blow in, blow out. To blow? Or to splutter? Don’t the brass performers seem somehow too bloated to you? And sometimes they even overblow something! It is worth it to come and see for yourself with your own ears and mouths, and also to get a good look at the brass instruments and the performers!

Performed by:
Jana Chomoucká
Petra Olajcová
Dan Svoboda
Kamil Barciok
