Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava to appear in a TV crime series
The Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava will play in the twelve-part crime series Shadows in the Mist, which has been created since March (with a break due to the coronavirus outbreak) by the Czech television Ostrava under the direction of Radim Špaček. The husband (Jaroslav Plesl) of the main character – investigator Magda Malá (Petra Špalková) is a violinist, and in one of the episodes he invites his wife to a concert. This is the reason why last week, the members of the orchestra first recorded the music, then sat with their new colleague Jaroslav Plesl in front of the cameras in the Ostrava Gong hall, where the fictional concert took place. The series is expected to appear on screens at the beginning of 2022.
