The Paris Ballets Russes alias Russian ballet of the excellent impresario Sergei Pavlovich Diaghilev belonged to the most influential artistic association throughout the 20th century. In the summer months, the Russian dancers used to have time off and were hired in Paris to make brand new productions that fundamentally touched the dance, art and music world. It was not even the war that interrupted the successful twenty-year activity of the company, it was the death of Diaghilev in 1929. The variety and the power of the music, which Diaghilev used, is breathtaking.
